Once upon a time, we bought a house.

4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, big yard. The perfect spot for our big family, pets, and, at the time, handyman business (now owned by Caleb Aardsma.)

We knew it would need a lot of work. Work didn’t scare us. A relatively soft remodel of the bathroom before we moved in, and then every year or so we would renovate another room. The perfect plan, right?

Except the plan fell apart the first day of work on the bathroom.

This was hiding under the toilet:

And this was hiding under the shower surround:

So the entire bathroom came out.

That was just the beginning.
