On Saturday, the boys (brother-in-law, youngest son, and two nephews roped into the project) picked up the joist effort where it was left off the week before.
Meanwhile, Matt worked on re-routing the washing machine plumbing in the crawlspace under the dining room/kitchen.

Our second-youngest kept him company and helped with fetching stuff, saving him a lot of effort climbing in and out of the crawlspace.

And our very youngest helped Esther run some new electrical wiring. He was a good sport, although the wirecutters kept mysteriously walking off…

Once the guys finished the north side (the easy side, with only crawlspace under it), they moved to the south side and finished up the joists over the cellar.
At the end of the day, the washing machine plumbing, nicely finished:

And the joists all in!

Next week: bring on the plywood subfloor!
